Today for my google 20 project I played around with a new robot, the finch. At first I had to get multiple different finches because they were all dysfunctional. However, when I got a working one, I was able to create some instructions for the finch to move around. I was able to make it turn left, right, go forward, and back. There was a small obstacle course made of wooden planks that I was able to navigate through with the finch. Playing around with the finch was a nice breath of fresh air.
Today was our first day working on our Google 20 projects. My project is working with the robot kit we have access to. The first day was mostly getting oriented and learning about how to set up the robot parts. I was able to set up the parts but I ran into problems involving wires and where to plug in/put them. When I got everything set up, I only had a limited amount of time to work with the robot kit. In my small amount of time I managed to make the servos spin wheels and I was also able to make some lights light up. Overall, today was a very informative day.
